Ocean Cay is a man-made island, built in 1970, approximately 95 acres in size. AES Ocean LNG, Ltd. own and operate an advanced energy services center located on the island. From its initial construction, Ocean Cay has served in an industrial capacity. Ocean Cay is devoid of any permanent residents and its electrical supply is facilitated through diesel-operated generators.
