The aerodrome is located in the River Severn Valley (high ground on each side). Developed from the 1990s onwards, the airport is now a home for numerous business and light aircraft. It is also the base for the Mid Wales Air Ambulance. - Flying School - Unlicensed Mon.-Fri. & Sat & Sun. afternoons. - The canteen is staffed at weekends.
