An unlicensed and unmanned asphalt landing strip on the Island of Skye, Scotland. Maintained and operated by the Highland Council, TEC Services. - Constructed by the Royal Engineers in 1972 - Open 24/7 - Home to 'The Skye Flying Club' - 'Payment for landing fee is by an honesty system in which you complete a landing log on arrival, obtainable from the box on the blue container. Completed logs should be posted in box marked "completed logs". Invoice will posted out to the appropriate address. Please do not leave cash payment.' - there is a clearly marked yellow restricted area, which is exclusively for emergency services use and must remain clear at all times - The aerodrome is periodically used for military exercises, public events and other commercial operations.
