Sleap (pronounced "Slape") is an ex-Royal Air Force airfield, which was opened in April 1943, and used by RAF advanced flying training units. - The home of Shropshire Aero Club since 1955, with over 70 aircraft based on site (inc Helis) - Cafe at the top of an old WW2 control tower (WiFi available) - The museum of the Wartime Aircraft Recovery Group is open at weekends (free admission)
